Gemini began with a shared knowing between Stephanie Clair and Grant Pecoff, both Geminis, working through intuition, conversation and trust.

Each painting begins with an image, dream, feeling or question they both sense.
One artist begins. The other responds. The work passes back and forth until neither can separate where one voice ends and the other begins.
Authorship becomes trust.
The collaboration asks each artist to release control without releasing intention.
Marks are changed. Images are expanded. Unexpected directions are welcomed. The finished work is not divided into two contributions. It is a third language created between them.
